I tip $20 each when people carry something heavy into my home on a delivery.

Carry something heavy? That's their entire job!

Yes, and it is hard work that they don’t get paid very much for.

If someone is bringing an appliance or furniture in the house and it is heavy, I always tip. $20/each

$20 total. And if I paid extra for assembly, I’d be contacting Costco for a partial refund on that fee.

We have not tipped, but they've also hustled out of our house so quickly to get to the next delivery that it didn't seem like they were hanging around expecting a tip.

We've had both furniture and appliance delivery. The appliance guys particularly got out fast.

Zero. Often they need to assemble it to show a photo and we still don’t tip.

The only time we would tip for something like that is if they go completely out of their job description to do something for me. Like get it set up in a loft area where they need to climb a ladder first. Or in a workshop that’s at the far back of a very large property. Something where it clearly takes them a lot more time and effort than if it had just been set up in the house like they were expecting. So basically that means never.

The $ value doesn't matter. I might tip a $10 each, maybe.

I wouldn't usually tip for at all unless there was something exceptional (e.g., a particularly long walk to carry it in).

Please help settle a debate. How much, if any, would you tip on a $2500 Costco furniture delivery (table and 4 chairs)? The website says "Delivery, setup and packaging removal included."

The brought the table and chairs and set it in the dining room, took away the packaging, but did not assemble the chairs. Fairly easy assembly, just has to screw the legs on. Do you tip less because they didn't assemble?
