Most Feds have use or lose leave and take off this week. DC is always a ghost town the week between Xmas and New Years.

Traffic has been the worst ever in recent months so I’d brace for January when even more workers will be going into the office.

Still the same answer. Vacation. Prepare for more traffic when schools start again.

I've noticed a lot more posters who seem unfamiliar with DC or parenting issues, like they just rolled up. Not sure if there are actually more (bored teens and grandparents?) or if they stand out in low traffic.

Has anyone else noticed a marked decrease in participation? It feels like half the people just bailed?
