What do YOU want to see or do? What is your budget? Like another poster I don't enjoy group travel - I will look for a place I haven't been, or a friend I've wanted to see and use that as my starting point. I prefer active vacations, walkable cities. But if I was hoping to meet other people, keep myself occupied with the first spring break without the kids - then I would likely select a trip like REI to a National Park. I find too much down time can make me sad or too reflective - keeping busy helps snap me out of feeling sorry for myself. I would start by pricing out flights, hotel cost etc of my top destinations.

5 days max - semi luxury, doesn't have to be all single women, but not looking to be on a couples trip

Active is fine, but nothing too thrilling...

Any ideas?? I know this is vague.

I’m a married mom but adore/prefer solo travel when feasible. I would pick whatever European city with reasonable direct flights that I hadn’t yet been to and/or had an exhibition or event that I was particularly interested in. I don’t personally enjoy group travel and prefer being able to set my own agenda but there are a number of women-centric travel groups that you could look into if that’s more comfortable for you. (Other posters might be able to provide more specific recommendations if you narrow down your request)

As a second choice I’d look at either Mirival or an upscale (non- family friendly) Caribbean resort with a nice spa.

REI has women's only trips. Some level 2 ("easy active") are lodge based, rather than backpacking camping.

It might be fun to go on a women’s trip or retreat to a destination that revolves around a hobby.

Examples: women’s hiking trip to a national park, women’s surf camp, writers retreat
