The National United Methodist Church (formerly Metropolitan Memorial) is a block away from Ward Circle and across Nebraska Avenue from AU.

Is this a display by American University? I seem to remember a big controversy about a Leonard Peltier statue that was removed in the same area. It is strange that American University would start building religious displays in Ward Circle after that incident.
