Then management should have done something to avert the strike. People who are haply employees (paid enough to live on, given a schedule with reasonable notice, aren't forced to work overtime, etc.), don't go on strike.

I would not cross the picket line. I'd leave, and demand a refund. Yes, even if it meant we didn't ski

I am in Park City right now. It is definitely impacting things. Longer lines/things are slow. Vail brought over some non-unionized patrol from other resorts but that isn’t awesome.

Deer Valley isn’t having the same problems, but they have already sold out through Jan 1 or 2.

I know you think you’re so clever but think of all the families who saved all year to be able to take their family on a ski trip. It’s not only the rich that go to Park city. This is not impacting vail management that much because people have already paid for their lift tickets, it’s impacting the guests. Why didn’t they do this in opening week so they weren’t able to open and plan ahead to get more staff there? That would’ve been a bigger impact to the old management than doing it during the holiday week.

What!? Wrong. You’re making stuff up.

Is having 21 of 40 lifts open really normal? (I don't ski, so truly a question.)

No but that’s due to lack of snow. Was the same before the strike.

How do they suck in this particular situation? Do you know anything about this situation? Do you know anything about union labor?

It's not all closed, but we've been here all week and skied half as many runs today as earlier in the week. They didn't even start the lifts until after 10. A lot fewer runs are open. Waste of new snow.

I just saw news that the Park city ski patrol is on strike and limited lifts/trails are available. Is anyone there now? What are the impacts?
