Finger and face are for dumb people. You’re not wrong to not use them.

I'm not sure why some people think that mugging or stealing cell phones isn't a thing. The issue with a password is that someone can easily see your password, especially if it's just 4 digits. But they can also just rip the phone out of your hands while you are texting/talking if they want access. I spend a lot of time in Latin America and the threat is X10 compared to the US. Face and fingerprint recognition is also a risk if you are in an area like Medellin where drugging people and stealing phones is prevelant. Obviously not an issue for 99% of people, but it's all about the threat you are trying to mitigate.

I use fingerprint mostly though sometimes it won't read for some reason and I enter my passcode. I switched to a 6 digit random passcode a while ago and that pretty secure.

I used to have an iPhone and I hated Face ID because it didn't work half the time and the phone would insist on trying it like 4x before letting me enter my passcode. It was very annoying and I don't miss it. They probably fixed it by now but honestly I switched to a Google Pixel a couple years ago and I like it way better.

They have your face. And they aren't the only one.

First of all, I have an Android so nobody is mugging me for my phone. And, I use a finger. Finally, I am sorry for the crying poster who’s phone didn’t recognize them.

Another password here. Not just mugging but the police can hold your phone up to your face too

Nobody is mugging people and using their face to unlock their phones. Nobody mugs anyone for their phones. You’re living in fear for no rational reason.

One time when I had been crying a lot it made me type in my passcode and I thought that was a low blow.
