We have an Amazonian parrot, a northern breed dog and fluffy rabbits, and keep our temp at 66F. The parrot has a humidifier and bird-safe heating pads in the winter.


We have had the tortoise for 15 years. He is fine.

Russian Tortoise. Pretty sure it gets below 69 degrees in Siberia.

Maybe the heat lamp isn't enough, depending on the setup, OP. Also watch for their desired humidity range depending on where they're from.

We have a Amazonian parrot, a northern breed dog and fluffy rabbits, and keep our temp at 66F. The parrot has a humidifier and bird-safe heating pads in the winter.

I love when I’m staying alone in hotels. 68-69 is my range for sleeping at this stage of life. DH keeps our house at 72 which is tolerable but I need to sleep with a fan on my nightstand.

Better that than my in-laws who have their house at 78 for a family gathering of 15+ people. My DH and his siblings no longer scold. They just secretly try to beat the next one to turn it down a notch or 2
