We didn’t do the beach but others in our group continued on to house rentals on the beach. It’s absolutely a thing in Belize - not sure why other posters say it isn’t.

NP here. Many of the beaches in Belize, especially on Ambergris Key, are plagued by sea grass, making it unpleasant to swim from the shore.

Belize really doesn't have beaches, except for a few down south.

Spend a few days on Caye Caulker - go snorkeling/diving. Rent a house with a pool. Take a trip out to the Blue Hole.

Spend time up in the jungle - San Ignacio. Tour Mayan Ruins, go kayaking. Take a day trip to Guatemala to Tikal.
