If you look at D1 rosters, there is a good number of transfers from D2 and D3 schools. That would probably be the best route to try at this point.

pretty much its over for him from D1. They know who they want pretty early and if you aren't hearing much during summer going into junior yr, you aren't on an interest list. RL teams don't go to the show cases needed and if they do, they are in a low bracket where no colleges show.

He's too old to get picked up by a ECNL team. And obviously wasn't at the caliber early enough to displace a kid now.

Lastly D1 schools have a large number of international pipelines and are using portal.

My advice if he wants D1, try to walk on. He also needs to reach out to schools and coaches himself. Or as many have said ….D2 and D3 schools are just as good. And many can and will beat D1 schools.

The only thing I will agree wirh is D1 rosters are filled with international students and there are few spots. However, I disagree that it’s too late if a junior has not been recruited yet. Some don’t commit until senior year. Partly it depends on position but also gender. Girls soccer recruitment happens earlier than boys so I wonder if this poster has a daughter. It’s definitely not too old to move to ECNL either but obviously it does depend on ability.

Pick the school based on what he would want to do if he got hit by a bus his first day at school and couldn't ever play soccer again.

Thank you

He made a video and sent to D1 and D2 coaches. And one coach replied it out of twenty.

Absolutely! An ACC team/school? No. A private/small D3? If she gets herself seen and is a decent player she might.

Most D1 schools have terrible soccer teams. D1 usually just means better measurable- bigger, stronger, faster.

This is almost impossible these days.
