Sat in the bleachers today with parents from a school who were acting like total babies and when I went home and looked at where the school ranked, yet again hypothesis born out.

I just got through a season of volleyball and I did not notice this correlation.
The absolute best group we played was John Lewis and they are not top 100 in Virginia but the kids and parents were great.
But sure maybe poor parents aren't a "golf clap" crowd but I don't think i saw any misbehavior by parents all season.
Right now with wrestling, I do not see any difference in parent behavior based on school quality.
I think it might be a bit different with football and basketball and maaaaaybe baseball.
But I suspect the reasons for this are beyond my ken
