That does not sound good.

That is such bizarre logic. Be happy you didn't have cancer to make the cost and time worthwhile.

And not always then. I don't have a marker.

No. It’s used in lumpectomies.

I'm confused is this used in breast biopsies or not?

Good to hear it is not the one used in biopsy. Thanks for the insight. The recall info was not entirely clear on the matter.

That is correct.

And if you get a marker clip and have surgery, the surgeon takes it out along with the tumor.

OP, calm down. The recalled product is not the tiny titanium marker “clip” that’s placed in breast tissue at the biopsy site. Instead it’s a plastic device of several centimeters height and depth that is used in radiation and chemotherapy and which the body ultimately reabsorbs after placement.

Oh no. I have 4 or 5 of them. Need to look at the recall. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a few inside of me, I assume they would have followed up with me if I had a recalled one. I'm not going to worry about it.

Oh no! I have a marker too, have had it for maybe 15 years now. I don't understand how it could cause death given what they explain. It's all a mild list, and then DEATH at the end, even though no deaths were reported? Does not make sense.

I don’t know, but I went back last week for breast MRI followup and they asked me questions that now seem to make sense re: the breast with the marker.

Thank you for sharing. Going to f/u with my surgeon.
