Roasting chestnuts is one of the most delicious smells in the world to me. I lived in Istanbul for awhile and they’d roast and sell them on street corners. Heavenly smell.

Are they in shell or the ones already shelled and cooked? If the latter, you can eat them right now or use in dessert or soup. I love those. I’m going to have some this morning as a snack.

Roast them. My family requests I make this every year. It's rich but delicious. https://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/French-Creamy-Chestnut-Soup/

This is what my husband does.
You could also make your own candied chestnuts?

Sadly, I can't have too many. Gas.

We have a favorite soup recipe, a risotto, and of course turkey stuffing/dressing. I love it when they are back in the stores!

I bought a bag of chestnuts from the grocery store tonight. At this point I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them. Any suggestions?
