My providers were totally fine with my flying/driving until 36 weeks and that’s pretty standard, unless you have risk factors or complications. I flew to Texas and back at 35 weeks.

Flying vs driving - depends on distance to airport I think. I’m in DC proper, 20-30 mins by metro to the airport. I’d def fly somewhere an hour if my destination was also close to the airport. But if you’d have to drive an hour from each end or something, I’d prob drive. Easier logistics. Plus you can stop whenever you want.

You’ll be uncomfortable either way.

I wouldn’t want my waters to break or go into labor on an airplane, so no.

You should be nesting and taking it easy. Keep your baby healthy and protected as long as possible.

My baby came early at 34 weeks, so I wouldn't.

Are there stipulations with the mountains?

I flew around then and still remember how incredibly uncomfortable I was in the seat. Would avoid in case of delays, etc.

Just did this flight last week. Between airport delays and flight delays and getting from airport to destination it was about 7 hours by the time we got to our place in Boston. Going to try driving this week.

Ask your doctor. They’ll give you tips based on your situation.

Drive- if you're having an emergency ans need to stop and find a hospital easier to do in a car then trapped in the air. But my sister delivered at 24 weeks so I'm extra anxious about all this stuff and wouldn't be far from home at 34 weeks.

The flight would probably be quicker.

I would probably drive if it’s only 6 hours. Easier to get comfortable in a car than in airplane economy, and you can stop for breaks if needed. You also won’t have to deal with an airplane bathroom or get stuck on the tarmac for hours.

If you had a trip planned, would you drive 6 hours or fly?

I know the risks, but curious on thoughts.
