That is ridiculously late. What has happened to education standards over the last 20-30 years?? When I was in (public) elementary school. We learned long division up to 2 and even 3 digits in 2nd grade.

I am not sure why people are complaining about the 4th and 5th grade curriculums. They have plenty of "old-school" math and rigorous word problems. I'm not a fan of all of the strategies taught in k-2, but Eureka seems solid for upper elementary.

I am not sure why people are complaining about the 4th and 5th grade curriculums. They have plenty of "old-school" math and rigorous word problems. I'm not a fan of all of the strategies taught in k-2, but Eureka seems solid for upper elementary.
