Exactly. There are some posters on this forum who take everything intensely personally when things don't quite go the way they prefer.

Not at all. It tells the school you will attend if accepted. That's huge for the schools to be able to plan their class.

But I think the point is that with schools like UDel and Pitt, students apply knowing that decisions are released in batches/on a rolling basis. Va Tech has always had a February EA release date for everyone, so dropping some acceptances in December last year was completely unexpected...I can see how that would make students who still had to wait for the published date nervous and thinking it was unfair.

It'll suck if it's really mid Feb.

Yeah, I don't think so. I think more likely that a first wave comes out in mid Jan. My kid dying to hear as well. It's a long wait as other decisions are coming in.

Maybe they'll reintroduce it as competition goes up for VTech (I know it won't be for this cycle, sorry).

It wasn't "mean" - good grief. They were just releasing decisions as they went, and in fact, made that very clear to all applicants.

It seems like an eternity to wait until late Feb. They are the latest EA school around.

Has anyone heard if they'll do another Dec. drop like last year?

Sure would take the sting out of the UVA rejection and possibly my wallet.
