Also lots of articles about benefit of recitation and how it maps the brains.

For recitation:

Gettysburg address
Preamble Constitution
I have a Dream

For skills standpoint, phonic/spelling rules or really go for it with Latin roots

My name. My phone number.
My worst nightmare is them getting lost, found by police, and they say “what’s your mom’s name?”
“Mommy”
“What’s her number or your address?”
“Home”

Other than that, days of week and months of year.

Math facts and spelling

Memorizing states and capitals is rather pointless. Memorizing something *about* places is better. And their locations on a map.

Presidents. Countries and their capitals. Where all the US States are located (used a puzzle). All the verbs of being. All the conjunctions.
