I have a business degree from Towson and work at a fintech company. Your son may end up being good at sales and have a decent income, I've seen that happen.

Getting a B and being a motivated student would be fine I guess. I worry that the focused sibling would be earning well and this DC would be working at low paying jobs and struggling financially. DC does work hard when needed but we need to push for it and yet this DC gets a B, while the sibling knows what they want and goes for it and gets straight A's. I worry about this one.

I had a B average (I don’t remember my GPA - it was the 90s. A couple As, a smattering of Cs, mostly a solid B/B- student). Regular. In kid's MS, they bumped up all students scores since they were well below state average.

Back in the '80s, I was a B/C student. I was accepted to UMBC (back when they took anybody) and got a Comp Sci. degree. I was earning six figures by time I was 30, mostly because of the dawn of the dot-com era in the '90s. These days UMBC is much more selective but my kid with a B average easily got into Towson for accounting.

If you went to college, what degree did you get and how much do you get paid annually?
I'm worried about my average non motivated kid who doesn't know what they want to be and am trying to steer them towards college and getting some degree that would at least help them land a decent job.
Advice appreciated.
