Southampton is known for having an excellent youth development program. However, unless your kid is eligible for a British passport, and along with that, an extremely exceptional player, he's essentially just there for a camp.

There was no follow up from Southampton last year with kids who were supposed to have been invited based on their selection as "player of the match." It seems poorly organized at best.

Does anyone have any personal experience with the Southampton Select tours for players selected from the Southampton cup tournament? Is it just a tourism trip, or is there a decent soccer angle to it?
