OP, a panniculectomy can be covered by insurance if you keep the weight off for a certain amount of time. Maybe a year? It won't have you bikini ready, but you will look a lot better in clothes.
panniculectomy is not covered by insurance for cosmetic reasons the only reason it would be covered if it causes medical impairment such as the below:
Documentation of skin conditions
If you have skin conditions that haven't responded to treatment, documentation of the conditions, treatments attempted, and response to treatment
Documentation of functional impairment
Documentation that the excess skin and fat are interfering with your daily activities or making it difficult to walk
