That’s only one particular bar at one time of day. Avoid it and you won’t see that kind of stuff.

Agreed, it has everything. There are a few spots (one in particular) that is a huge scene and is a big party but there's much more to it. More importantly, it's very French- luxury boutique hotels that aren't always very accommodating to you, it's a dressy, fussy feel versus laid back island feel. Food is good but again, very French. I personally prefer Anguilla and a few other spots-give me a large luxury resort that serves frozen drinks and American food and has what you want when you want it but that's just me (and I can afford both)

DH and I went in 2017, shoulder season (May). I didn't find it too much of a scene, but we weren’t there during the high season. It was pricey of course, but beautiful and the food was great. EVERYONE (including hotel staff, waitstaff, drivers, etc.) looked like they just stepped off the catwalk, lol. Like, cheekbones you could grate cheese on! It was an amazing couples’ trip.

We used to go and it was a great combination of beautiful beaches and great food but haven’t been back in years.

I think using the word cheugy is cheugy.

right, I always thought it was that kind of waspy vibe and only recently am feeling like it's actually more like miami beach.

Husband and I went last year, mid 30s. We wouldn’t go back without significant $$$$$ to burn or out of season. We landed on Christmas Day, and wow what a scene.

Yes it's mostly that, but also with a slightly older crowd added in. The difference is the older crowd there has money (like real money) so a lot are on yachts or staying at $1,000/night hotels. Then the younger crowd is Instagramming from cafes on the shore.

My friend invited me to come down for New Years Eve. I turned them down.
