OP wants this forum to be for discussions of sports, generally. While discussions about baseball, volleyball, football, and all the other sports that do not have their own forum, will be in a new forum called "other sports." I don't think it is necessary.

Seems like there should be an "other sports" thread for sports not listed so that actual discussions that pertain to sports in general won't be mixed in with these threads.
