+1. Especially since decisions are often released after COB. So, there is no one for kids to reach immediately if they can’t log in. I’m sure colleges don’t like giving bad news, but they want the release to go smoothly for everyone— even the Nos. Making them wait extra hours or days to get rejection does not make the rejection better. And some of these same Nos may be back in a year or two as transfers. No reason to treat them as unworthy of getting a timely decision.

This is correct. It’s a form letter. They want all to login to head off any issues so no calls or emails. Nothing to do with outcome, they’d still want to prevent those calls and emails too.

I think you are overriding. Pretty sure I remember most schools send to everyone so they don't have a bunch of panicked emails and calls to admissions when people can't get into the portal because they never set it up.
