I just did a full head of highlights, cut and blowdry for $230 by the salon owners in Arlington.

It isn't egregious. It's on the high side of what I would expect given the details you provided. But it sounds relatively reasonable. My highlights, which are partial, are about $300 without a cut.

I do not have color, but was next to the check out desk at my salon the other day. A customer was paying and admiring her hair in the mirror behind the desk - I told her the cut looked really nice. I was surprised to hear the assistant tell her the color was $275 and I didn’t catch/can’t recall how much her cut was. This is in DC at a nice salon. I see a new stylist and she is $95 for a cut but I think the experienced stylists/co-owners are at $150 for a cut. I could not tell this lady had color done, so I guess it looked natural??? I can’t afford to have color done in this area!

I pay $220, but I go to her specifically because she is cheaper than other places and does amazing color (her cuts im not crazy about and go to someone else lol). I can definitely see $340 at a salon. For a rental space, it def seems high. Look for someone else for the next time!
