We also went for one night and my kids loved it. 2nd day we used the showers in the locker room. The one thing I wish I’d known in advance is that they didn’t have soap in locker room showers.

We went for one night, and my dd had the best time. My friend booked the suite, and I didn’t realize not all of the rooms are themed. My dd had been looking forward to a themed room or bunks, so just make sure you book what you want. We ate at the nicer restaurant and had an awesome waiter. He made solid suggestions, and we were all surprised that the food was actually great. Someone in our party had a bday, and they brought out a cute cake. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised

Lines to check in can be long. You have to wait in line and get everyone’s wrist bands when you arrive (anytime the morning of the day you check in) and those wristbands double as your room key. I can’t recall how we found out our room was ready… maybe by text? Regardless you only have to wait in the line once when you first arrive. I don’t remember formally checking out. My husband may have gone up to tell them we were leaving as kids used their pass to get candy.

When DD was little, we’d go to the Williamsburg GWL every year around Christmas/New Year’s and she had a ball. In her 20’s now, she still fondly remembers those trips. Your DD will, too. Have a great time.

We are at the Dunkin Donuts off site and enjoyed the nearby sushi place for dinner.
There was a pretty lengthy line when we checked in. We didn't try to use the pool before.

Agree with bringing snacks and breakfast! Save the dining dollars for meals that will be fun or save you time - like dinner there instead of having to go offsite or back to your room. It will be gross but who cares, kids like hot dogs and nuggets.

Bring your own towels. The ones they give you are bad and they run out. We brought our own breakfast and snacks. My kids LOVED it which made us happy. We only did 1 night which meant we did not get sucked in to too many extras. I hope you have a great time.

The food is terrible. We did pizza one night and it was fine. I also carried in take out the first night we were there - cheaper and better. I don't think the sit down restaurant is worth it.
Not sure how old your child is. My kids loved Magiquest. We did the pass thing and did bowling, gem mining, ropes and something else. I felt like it was worth it.
The show in the lobby at night was fun.
We enjoyed it and overall found it a really nice stay - despite DCUMers.

Showers and locker room are fine. It’s pricey so make the most of it by coming early and staying post check-out. There’s a lot of extra costs so I like to buy a wolf pass up front for kids to limit feeling nickel and dimed. Kids love it. Food is meh and expensive but you can bring in food.

The dining options were not great, but edible. You won’t starve. We stayed 2 nights so we didn't end up using their locker area. Use the water park in the evening or early morning if you can. It gets crowded in the afternoon. Be prepared for the stupid magic wand game. And the arcade. They had some fun evening activities if your kid is under 10.
