The easiest course of action would be for the team and parents to come together to raise issues and request a new coach

Documenting everything is helpful but this is easier said than done because so much is considered heresay (eg whatever your kid is coming home and telling you the coach said at practice). Also, as you are aware, removal is a long process unless there’s something truly glaring or egregious. OP—what types of issues are you seeing? Might be easier to advise you if we have some more detail.

Has anyone heard or seen an instance where a long term coach that is also a teacher in the building is successfully removed from their position? I feel as though there is no hope even if we have a qualified replacement. Coach is perceived to be well liked by the community but not so much once you actually ask people. Any advice? Anything specific we can document? The team seems to be miserable and it is such a shame.
