I'd remove the italics from the 1st two, and add NYU (albeit italicized, probably).

If you add NYU you would have to add USC and UNC to keep it fair. And they dilute it.

Just a bad discussion especially if your kid(s) were nearby. That's how you and the family end up with unreasonable expectations....not sure how old your kids are but don't do it - let your kids pick what's based on their abilities and fit at the time.

Depends on the student not the school. If someone is motivated enough, they can get an “elite” education at hundreds of schools.
