Cheese is also a nice option. Trader Joe's has some fancy cheeses but lots of stores have a pretty large cheese selection. I'm also a sucker for nice pickles and olives.

I'll also defend the humble veggie or fruit tray, I like having something lighter and less salty to eat.

Honestly, I always appreciate a nice veggie or fruit tray at a holiday party. You can always jazz it up with a homemade dip. I appreciate having a few healthy options to fill up my plate and balance out all the excess.

I'll start with the holiday decorated cookies from Amphora. Sure, they're basically inedible but they look really pretty on a cookie tray.

I'm curious to hear the TJ lovers chime in
