MCPS called it for all schools because of the wind chill, not the actual temperature.

It was a miserable day for this kindergarten teacher but the wind was no joke. Even dismissal for walkers was rough.

Not true. I’ll gladly stand outside in 35 degree weather rather than do indoor recess!! Many of my fellow paras agree.

They’ll blame it on poor kids not having the right clothing. In reality it’s the recess aides/teachers who don’t want to stand out there.
