Maybe because it's hockey...and most women that play hockey aren't exactly shrinking violets or petite and are fine pulling your jockstrap over your head and pummeling you if you try anything.

I don’t want anyone to be pressured to do co-Ed changing, but I don’t get why people think co-Ed bathrooms are going to cause harassment or assault. People harass and assault women in their homes, in churches, wearing burkas and bikinis and everything in between. I think the things you want to be looking for are situations where people are disempowered or able to abuse their power. A layer of fabric over a wang is not a good defense.

It doesn't happen. If you have a room full of 20+ people, you can't wait to go change one by one in a stall. If I'm running late and have 8 minutes to change before game time, the locker room is seeing the wang while i put on my compression pants and cup. Sorry, but don't stare I guess? Dudes get naked in locker rooms, what do you expect? I just never encountered women in the same room before..

Yes, most do that, but there are ladies I heard they give zero Fs and get totally nude to go shower in the same showers as the guys. There are no doors or anything in the showers. The shower is also probably the funniest part of adult hockey. I personally haven't seen a woman go into the shower yet, but multiple guys have played in leagues where they said it happens.

I personally would be fine with this, but I think you have to do your best to give everyone private changing accommodations and make sure no team business is happening when people are unclothed, that someone would miss if they opted out of co-ed changing.

Given that you’re not actually required to change and it’s a room provided if anyone wants to I think it’s ok.
