She wore a short sleeved dress but it is really thick jacquard material. She had leggings with fleece lining and her winter boots. She has a sweater in case it is cold in her classroom so she can control her temp. They had indoor recess because it was too cold. But, she has a very warm winter coat, gloves and ear muffs.

Um, T-shirt or sweatshirt, jeans, coat, maybe hat if they like it? It's just not that cold.

Prepared for outdoor recess but shorts under pants, if needed.

Long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, skirt, fleece lined leggings, regular socks (not wool or fuzzy) - that's for inside in a neither cold nor hot classroom.

To go out they brought, but not sure if they wore, winter coat, fleece gloves, and a hat. At least one took a scarf also.

I would only do the hoodie over long sleeve shirt if you're sure your kid won't take it off and lose it. I've sent mine to the lost and found after sweatshirts way too many times already this year.

Inside MCPS ES building is really warm, but outdoor playground/recess is really cold. I don't know if they let kids go outdoor during recess for playground time. How do your ES kids dress for today? I dress them a thin layer of long sleeve shirt and fleece pants with a puffer jacket with a hat. I wonder if I should get them mittens and double layer of shirt(like hoodies underneath).
