Run hot water for ten minutes and some dawn. It’ll probably be fine.

i agree with this.

Because of the garbage disposal, the feed rate of flour into the pipe is smaller. Since you scooped that disposal area out, you probably got most of what didn't naturally flow out and along with the flushing water.

You may never have any problem. If when your hand is healed, you want to check the trap, that would be a good double check.

If the water backs up, try a plunger on the drain to destabilize the surface of the flour mud. When fully soaked it should be like mud and not concrete.

Is the water blocked right now?

Do you have a garbage disposal?

Have you used a plunger to get chunks pulled up and out of the drain?

My 10 year old was trying to make play doh with flour and when I was out of the kitchen for a minute she knocked the flour over and it went right in the sink. She turned the water on and started stuffing it down the drain. When I came in I was able to scoop some of the flour out, but she said she made a lot of it go down.

I looked online and it said to remove the trap. I’m a single mom and I am recovering from wrist surgery so no way I can do that myself. I read online to put baking soda and vinegar so I did that. I also read to put Dawn dishwashing soap which I happened to have on hand.

Do I have to call a plumber first thing tomorrow? Is there a chance the above remedies will be enough?
