Honestly, there aren’t too many downsides.
I suspect the acceptance rate would be half of what it is if not for the dry campus. My understanding is that this doesn’t mean no drinking, it just means no enormous parties, and it’s a little easier to kick students out if they break egregious rules. DC is a little wild by nature so it didn’t feel like a fit, but we were very impressed.

The smell from the Malt-o-Meal plant is a bit of an acquired taste.
