Flour (a bakery in Boston) has the best banana bread recipe. Irs in the original "Flour" cookbook. There are online recipes that are close to the original.

I was going to say this. It always turns out good and is easy to make.

I like Alison Roman's chocolate banana bread (but I like almost all banana and pumpkin bread). Very dense and chocolatey. It's made with cocoa powder, not chocolate chips. If you make it, it's better the next day.

I always do the Fannie Farmer Banana bread recipe. I’ve swapped the mashed banana for Sweet Potato, pumpkin, and apple sauce and it always turns out beautifully. Minimal ingredients, not too sweet, nothing beats it, IMHO. I often skip the nuts and throw in a handful of mini chocolate chips.

This has been my go-to for years:

I’ve swapped out the banana for pumpkin with no issues. Usually use sour cream, sometimes plain Greek yogurt- comes out the same other ways. The only downside is it takes longer to bake than the directions say. I end up having to cover with foil so the top doesn’t burn before the center cooks through.

My go to is this one from Cooking Light:

https://www.familycookbookproject.com/recipe/2459632/classic-banana-bread-from-cooking-light.html

Ingredients:
2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 large eggs
1-1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (approx 3 bananas)
1/3 c. plain low-fat yogurt
1 t. vanilla extract
cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, stirring with a whisk. Place sugar and butter in a large bowl, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended (about 1 minute). Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add banana, yogurt, and vanilla; beat until blended. Add flour mixture; beat at low speed just until moist. Spoon batter into an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Bake for an hour or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan on a wire rack; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

According to our family's taste tests, the Smitten Kitchen pumpkin recipe is the best. The Trader Joe's pumpkin bread mix is good in a pinch, esp. if you sub melted butter for the oil.

I love the mix sold at Trader Joe’s, and get lots of compliments on it.
