I'm so sick of all the dietary restrictions and whining. You know what thanksgiving is. If you show up, deal with it. Or bring your own food. I wouldn't go out of my way to cook another entire main dish. F off.

Yes !! Add this to the apps.

Okay, I’ll do a separate smoked salmon board. Probably easiest and safest bet.

That sounds delicious.

No. Pescatarians can just go vegetarian for the night. Add mac and cheese if you want a protein-rich side, but if you add fish, you need to make it an option for all your guests, not just the pescatarians

Do a wild rice pilaf! Tons of protein and very Thanksgiving-y

I do one with a wild rice mix, walnuts, mushrooms and dried cranberries that is Devine, but there are lots of good recipes out there and you can make it ahead.

Or get some shrimp cocktail to put out with the apps

Honestly though, I think you are okay without it, but it’s a nice gesture.

Lentil salad would work. Include quinoa for ore protein.

turkey
veg dressing (aka stuffing)
green beans with almond
Mashed potatoes
Veg gravy
Cranberry sauce
Roasted squash over arugula

Apps are cheese and charcuterie.

Should we add something more protein/rich/filling for the pescatarians?

The only fish I can think that would go flavor-wise is salmon, which I don’t want to serve because we always serve that. I know how to make seabass, but that seems to require too much care for this type of meal. Also one guest is more limited in the seafood she eats. Any veg ideas with beans or lentils that would work with a traditional Thanksgiving menu?

If I were attending I would see plenty of options and be fine with your menu. I do not expect a custom menu. I will be fine with a bit less protein at one meal.i
