The Jury Duty thread reminded me that Matt from St. Denis was in season 1 of that show.
St. Denis has grown on me - the characters have gotten better with time and have good chemistry.

I like David Alan Grier, the brown haired main nurse, and the hospital administrator woman who has been in so many things. Everyone else is not great. But I’m enjoying those three.

Definitely more The Office. The only similarity to Grey’s is that it takes place in a medical setting.

I also loved superstore. I agree with you that the “hot” doctor is not at all funny and those are the worst scenes. The young religious guy also needs some work. David Alan Grier is great tbough. I will give it another chance — it’s better than most sit coms on now and sometimes it takes a little while for sit coms to hit their stride. I think the writers need to see what is landing or not with the actors and then adjust.

I'm in the same boat.

What's funny to me is that my doctor wife loves it. She used to work at a small, rural, underfunded hospital and says that many of the characters ring true. She hates Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med, etc. all those medical shows. Their hospital had 2 general surgeons and 1 anesthesiologist. Any surgery too complicated got sent to the big city hospital.

It’s very funny! I am into it and I generally don’t like sitcoms.

NP. Yeah, based on the cast, I'm going to give it a shot. It also has Allison Tolman, whom I've liked in other roles. I do feel a little bit "over" the whole mockumentary format, though, and hope it's not basically "The Office, But In A Hospital."
