Is this a big news story? How would she know she’s “missing”?

I think she’s dead and it’s sad that her father also took his life.

Whole situation sounds strange.

The family of a missing person isn't obligated to do anything except what they feel will help find their loved one. I'm sure they are acting on advice besides an "investigator who tried to help". Help is great, but every person who comes out of the woodwork (psychics etc) isn't necessarily going to do a better job than the family coordinating with police and volunteers they select. I believe the FBI is involved now? I would have more confidence in them.

No. Maui woman who was headed to NYC. Missed her connecting flight in LA. Dad went looking for her in LA and ended up committing suicide.

Her dad commited suicide after his search for her. She was seen on CCTV. in the LA metro. Some of her texts are bizarre. Mental Break?
