I use my Nobulls for heavy lifting days but not much else - very flat shoes.

I havne't had that issue with MetCons, but I only wear them for working out. I wear other sneakers when out & about, on dog walks, etc.

That makes sense. I use mine on all my walks with weighted vest, for running, pretty much all day. I can feel my feet start to ache after 4 months or so and then a new pair feels amazing.

I buy them for my dog to chew up.

That's unfortunate to hear.

I was thinking of buying some for gym cross training stuff - walking, stair climber, elliptical, and some lifting. I run in Brooks and only Brooks, but was hoping to expand into other brands for various gym stuff. But I'll need them to get decent mileage since I walk 30 mins to/from the gym.

Have you tried Nike Metcon? Those are my favorite cross trainers, and mine have always lasted a couple years.

I second the Metcon! They are amazing.

9:35 - very little wear & tear (I have worn them a lot!)

I wear them for weightlifting & walking. Mine have lasted for 4 years with very little wear & certainly didn't fall apart, even the white ones that I throw in the washer with bleach on hot. I have 4 pairs & rotate them but another anecdote in addition to mine is that my personal trainer at the gym has multiple pairs. He's a pretty serious weightlifter plus obviously wears them to train me or I would not have seen them. YMMV

They have cute colors but are not very good shoes. The top of my shoe (where my big toe is) frayed within weeks. They are not well made.

I have three pairs. My favourites are my court shoes, which I also wear for lifting sometimes. I like my Nike Metcom the best. I bought two pairs of No Bull for running and they didn’t hold up. I went back to my Aesics. A lot of people at my gym have the lifting ones in all sorts of colours.

+ 1 for weightlifting.

I also like Innov8. They seem to be comparable brands.

I got mine for weight lifting. The trainer I worked with said no squishy soled shoes when lifting heavy bc you need more stability. Love them.

I seem them around frequently, and I like that they come in a lot of attractive designs and patters. But are they actually good for fitness and exercise? If you have them, what do you use them specifically for? Do they wear out quickly compared to other brands?
