Sort of. go to a dermatologist. They’ll give you exactly what you need. Go to McLean dermatology they’re phenomenal

Using Niacinamide topically helps to regulate sebum production in the skin. I add a drop or 2 of The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide + 2% Zinc serum to my morning serum and it helps lessen the oiliness and shrinks my enlarged pores.

I recommend seeing a dermatologist.
Few topical medications that can assist.

55 year old male with oily skin. I look 45, but still get pimples every week. It's a mixed bag.

Rub in a foundation primer. Smashbox makes a good one.

If you want to strip your skin and make oil production go into overdrive...

The little paper blotting sheets are helpful.

The blotting sheets to that huh? Good to avoid those then. The shampoo recommendation is good for reducing oil. It may cause an increase in oil production, but that helps to clean out the pore. Too little oil production means more blackheads.

Gibberish.

Me too. 59 and female. Sympathies but no solutions, but I'm interested to hear what others recommend.

Is there any way to control it? I’ve tried some gel before. Didn’t work

Probably not. I'm 42 but my 70+ parents still have oily skin so I don't think it's going anywhere. As PP said, this skin type does tend to age very well in terms of wrinkles.

52yr old female and same thing. On the plus side I have almost no wrinkles except a few developing around my mouth.
