My kid is in her first year of college and loves it compared to her MCPS high school. She’s a little tired of the stupid protests but the rest of it has been great.

Kids disrupting classroom instruction
Kids taking over and smoking in the bathroom
Self entitled kids that create uncomfortable environments
Fights practically every day
Kids who don't belong in AP classes are allowed and then they either cheat off my kid, threaten my kid to get homework answers and slowdown instruction
No leadership at all

Some great teachers but leadership and non teaching staff clueless, lazy and dysfunctional. It is a literal zoo in that place.

My kid went to a great high school, with a wonderful Principal, but we were counting the days too. He has special needs and high school was just really tough, but also I think it's just the reality of being a senior.
