It is imperative that well meaning people, politely, firmly and succinctly, tell those types of people to stop their nonsense.

There are numerous state governors that are qualified and popular enough to deserve a chance to seek the 2028 Dem nomination. They just need support approved by party "leaders", the DNC, and their wealthy donors before they can make a serious run.

The old saying "party picks the nominee and the people pick the POTUS" used to be half true. Now it is 99% true. Eff the GOP and Dem parties. They need to be abandoned of all support but people are too stupid to understand that they are private entities and they aren't too big to fail.

The Democrat pipeline may be sad but it's nowhere near as bad as Matt Gaetz - Dr. Oz and so on.

There are a lot of good Republicans but since the MAGA movement has taken over, the talent pool of Republicans acceptable to thin-skinned Trump and those actually willing to work for Trump has become extremely shallow.

Vance is invisible. He's been completely sidelined by Trump. And the odds of Trump's term going "ok" are abysmal. He's not in this to make the country better. He's in this to enrich himself and his friends, take vengeance against his perceived enemies, and blow it all up. It'll be pocketbook issues again in 2028, and the Republicans will be forced to play serious defense.
