I wear a lot of Reformation for work. Good linen pants, cool skirts and dresses. Very flattering cuts.

Made well is ok but it's sort ot boring (like most of these.) Everything I get compliments on is 15 years old from Forever 21...

39 and Talbots is quite frankly the best value for my price point and fits me the best. I use accessories and the occasional random top from tj maxx or old navy to look less “old.”

Everlane, Alex Mill, Banana Republic (it's pretty good again after being terrible for a while); Frank & Eileen.

In general, depending on the occasion, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s would be good starting points. So would JCrew, Banana, Madewell, Everlane.

Talbots works for business wear but is pretty blah for everyday.

Op here. I was heavily into Talbots and Chicos but I have since learned form DCUM that I was dressing way older.

NP. Do you like your wardrobe? I'm 40 but feel like I probably dress older (not about the stores I shop at, but the styles I gravitate towards), and I just really don't care.

Just shared how much of my wardrobe is Talbots and Chicos but I want to refresh everything over time. Op here.

What stores would you browse at this age? Talbots ages everyone apparently and Chicos is for 65+. Everlane is interesting, the newer items seem rather blah to me. Madewell too young or not nice enough?
