This. Maybe a mushroom Wellington. I’d rather eat sides. Zero interest in fake meats.

We're doing this as a side for the turkey eaters, or an entree for the vegetarians. It's vegan so it would work for them too.

Despite not doing vegan turkey we are doing vegan gravy for the spuds. I'm trying this recipe:

because her recipes are usually good and it has 5 stars, but I haven't tried it yet so I can't vouch for it.

Not a vegan, but former vegetarian and I completely agree. All that "fake meat" is disgusting, over processed garbage that I think is terrible for you. I never touched it as a veg and don't get its appeal.

Those products are for omnivores who are looking to decrease or eliminate their meat consumption, not people who don’t miss having meat in their diets.

Actually, the person I am thinking of who doesn’t eat meat would really like this. They typically eat the fake Turkey log from Trader Joe’s. I thought something homemade would taste better. Lots of vegans I know enjoy this type of thing.

Mushroom Wellington usually goes over very well with the vegan crowd. I’ve tried to buy and make all kinds of tofu and tofu “turkey” dishes and they’re just not as delicious as you wish they were.

If you make a Wellington, make sure that the pastry does not have butter.

You are kind to want to accommodate vegans! I would suggest asking what they like. I am vegetarian not vegan, but don't usually want fake turkey and gravy. I'd rather have delicious vegetable forward mains (or even a few sides)

Please don’t serve vegetarian dishes with milk or egg to a vegan. They may have an allergy or health condition that is reason for being vegan.

The title says it all. I love catering to vegans during my Thanksgiving meals. I want to serve something tasty that they will rave about. TIA!
