Unless you are saying you're not ready for travel due to the financial commitment? Well... you get what you pay for.

Unless you can have your player play up a year in rec?

This. If they're in rec now, I don't think they'll be going to far off places like the top team. They might be driving a half hour and have plenty of local games. There are levels to travel.

Nothing between Rec and Travel, however, Travel has different levels, training times per week and travel distance for games.

Travel is a huge commitment but unless you give up on the sport, your little one will probably always be frustrated in Rec. Talk to someone in Travel and ask them about the options...

MSI Classic if you can find a team that practices in Bethesda. More competitive than Rec, no travel (all games in Montgomery County, which I realize is probably traveling a little bit for you)

Find the latter.

Agree with this, OP. Lower level teams at every club are not intense at all.

Or pickle ball. That’s less intense too.

Is there anything in between rec and travel in Arlington? ADP is for younger kids and travel might be too intense for our family. He is becoming frustrated by the low skill/effort level of his rec team though, please help!
