University Motors in Morgantown WV. We arranged beforehand and were in and out in less than 45 minutes. Easy drive from Gaithersburg.

bought 2 cars from DarCars. Took weeks/months of watching inventory and offering them something that lingered. That said it was all before covid.

Springfield toyota was the one that was shady. Agreed on price and was told to come in. When arrived, they backed out and wanted to tack on more. All before covid.

Alexandria Toyota was fair (but I brought financing). Lessened the debate.

Priority Springfield toyota is easy and fair.

We had a terrible experience at Koons Toyota and I would never return.

It's our 2nd vehicle from them and they matched our highest offer for our trade in. No complaints.

We went to DarCars in Silver Spring when Siennas were on a pretty big backlog and they were able to choose a van for us and have it allocated. It's my understanding that a lot of smaller dealerships don't have a choice in what gets allocated to them. I think there are a bunch of large dealers like that around here (Koons, Ourisman?).

It's my impression that all the dealers in a region have access to the same inventory. Some might be more or less willing to bring in a specific car from outside the region, but it seems unlikely that would be necessary with a Toyota, and it certainly wouldn't save you any money.

If you want something very, very specific, I'd use online shopping to see which dealers have which models and trims on the lot and go where they have what you want so you can see it IRL.

I had a good experience at Koons Arlington a couple of years ago, but honestly I'd pick a dealer that's relatively convenient for you to get to.

It’s been a while since we bought a car planning to buy before the end of the year do all the apps pretty much steer you to The same inventory based on ZIP Codes and filters? I’m wondering if it’s worth just going to one of the large dealers nearby or start with the app? The former anyone know of the largest dealers for Toyotas in the area and is it even worth buying a used 2024 versus brand new.
