If so, is your child's testing during the school day at school or elsewhere after school? Do they have a time limit? Ours will be during the school day.

Thanks in advance!

Is this for foreign languages? The PALS test?

The PALS for Spanish immersion is being piloted in some but not all schools that offer Spanish immersion.

Yes, if a student demonstrate proficiency equivalent to at least 2 credits on the exam, it satisfies the high school graduation requirement, and they won’t need to enroll in a world language course. If student wants and school offers the language in which they tested, then they can enroll in the follow-on credit level world language course, to attain more credits.

It’s for students who have written and oral proficiency in another language already - typically students who speak another language at home and also have had some education in that language to the point they can write at the paragraph level as well.

Do you know if you can receive the same accommodations as their IEP? For example, voice to text?

All middle and high schools were asked to have students take the assessment during the school day. It should be an untimed assessment (just needs to completed within the school day).
