Seasons 52 does a pretty good Thanksgiving, and they have lots of other stuff on the menu. But no pie, sadly. They do these cute little shot glasses with layered dessert, one of which is always pumpkin and one of which is always like a pecan pie in a shotglass.

The old ebbitt does a decent job. Solid dinner, nothing spectacular. Much like Clyde’s since it’s the same chain.

I'm not local, but we're going to a dim-sum place where we live. I googled them and called directly to see if they would be open that day. I called three places before I found it.

My Dad passed away this year and we need a change of scenery- don't want to see the empty chair.

All of the hotels will also be serving as well. Depends on neighborhood and if you prefer something fancier vs more casual

Ooh I bet Kinship would be fabulous. I love that restaurant and remember getting an email a few years ago about their prix fixe thanksgiving dinner. Looked delicious. My family really likes the home cooked thing so I sadly had to pass on it.

I was once traveling during thanksgiving and just got a reservation at a nice high end steakhouse in the city we were in. We didn’t get thanksgiving food. It was great!

Check hotels, they often have a nice buffet.

Yes, we went to Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge in Rockville last year for Thanksgiving, and really enjoyed it.

Are you looking for recommendations in DC, VA or MD?

A lot of places may already be booked. I’d look on Open Table.
