When I clicked on the gradebook tab last week for my middle school kids, my kid had all 100s (which I thought was unlikely), and today when I checked, the grades have dropped and include a D. Are these weekly grades reflecting assignments?
Sadly there has been no call from the top to have teachers use parentvue or canvas in a consistent or even useful fashion. Money poured down the drain on the bus app could have easily been used for a consultant to advise on how to use it more productively and perhaps why.
Some schools are better than others in terms of consistent usage. Principals can and should establish standard practices and expectations for all teachers.

Lucky for your kid that her teachers do the right thing and update scores (syncing) so her gradebook is accurate.

For whatever reason, some teachers do not sync scores after they have already graded the assignment, and that means the student's grade in the class is not accurate in gradebook. MCPS needs to have a consistent policy: ALL teachers enter scores for ALL assignments regularly and make them sync scores into gradebook. This way families have accurate info when they look in gradebook and if they need to assist their kid or get assistance for them. Taylor??
