If I host one child in my home in Fairfax is that considered a daycare? Do I need to be licensed for that?

I know I can be a nanny for one child in their home without a license but I'm hoping to watch one child in my home. I think I read online somewhere that without a license or permit you can have up to one child three days a week but now I can't find where I saw it. Any links or website direction is appreciated.

I'm coming off maternity leave and I think I can swing not returning to work financially and stress wise if I watch one child in addition to my own . Thanks!
