Ugh, this sucks.
As PP said, I'd start with a warranty on the repairs and take it back to the shop.
After that, I'd keep going up the Geico chain - and back it all up in writing/keep notes of who you talked to and when.
As you are doing this, I'd research consumer protection in your state through your attorney general office or insurance commissioner. Tell Geico you'll be filing a complaint with both.

So sorry to hear this happened to you OP.
For starters, while Toyotas DO hold their value, if your car was worth over $8,000G then it was cheaper for Geico to repair your vehicle vs. junking it.
I find this outrageous however because $8,000G is A LOT of money to fix a car! ðŸ˜

Can you go back to the shop, tell them what is occurring + can they fix it for free??

Hindsight is 20/20 but if something like this ever happens again > perhaps you could appeal repairing the vehicle and instead negotiate w/the insurance company to instead get a suitable replacement.

I was in a major collision two months ago that extensively damaged the entire front of my 2016 Camry. The axle snapped and all suspension was destroyed, etc. Geieco refused to total it because "Toyotas hold their value". So they authorized repair for $8000.
I got it back today. It wont shift out of 3rd gear. Geico is claiming, despite being unaware of the issue until I raised it, that it has nothing to do with the accident and I'm on my own.
Where do I even start?
