So sorry to hear this happened to you OP.
For starters, while Toyotas DO hold their value, if your car was worth over $8,000G then it was cheaper for Geico to repair your vehicle vs. junking it.
I find this outrageous however because $8,000G is A LOT of money to fix a car! ðŸ˜
Is there a warranty on the repairs?
Can you go back to the shop, tell them what is occurring + can they fix it for free??
Yes, I know what a headache!
Hindsight is 20/20 but if something like this ever happens again > perhaps you could appeal repairing the vehicle and instead negotiate w/the insurance company to instead get a suitable replacement.
