Def ask the teacher. My kid is in 4th and dipped in the fall MAP. Teacher said the 4th gr MAP had a lot of geometry which is in the final modules for 4th grade. So I feel better with the score. She is acting everything in compacted math so I don’t question she is in the right placement but her score dropped to her fall 2nd gr level

Khan Academy and IXL have score-based skill plans for the MAP-M 2-5 and 6+, but I'm not entirely confident they are accurate.

Are there any sources that will help you understand how to "translate" MAP-M scores into what specific skills and knowledge your child has to demonstrate in order to receive that score?

For example, in our case, my kid has been stuck in the 190s all through 2nd grade and into fall of 3rd grade without much/any growth. I'd like to better understand what this might indicate about what she would need to learn/demonstrate to keep moving up into the 200s and beyond, to better make sense of the situation (i.e. whether it's a testing issue or whether she genuinely hasn't been exposed to or learned the next level of content over the last year) and how to help her.
